Athletes on the Mat - Lower Body Intensive Sports (runners, cyclists, skiers, etc)

Temescal Pilates 5427 Telegraph Avenue, 2nd floor, Oakland

$80

No matter your sport of choice, there are physical consequences

Runner? Great endurance, but tight IT bands & aching knees.

Cyclist?  Amazing lung capacity, fabulous quads, but oh, those hip flexors!

Weekend warrior basketball nut? Lack of rotational training can mean a pair of badly twisted knees...

PILATES and YOGA as cross-training help fix muscle imbalances from sport specific exercise, increasing the ability of your body to perform at its best.

Learn to work from your center, make movements more efficient and effective and loosen up the parts of your body that are holding back your utmost performance.

Intrigued?

Join me for two evenings of strengthening, lengthening and learning different ways of moving.

I can promise that your body will thank you…

And you just might shave some time off those splits!

About Your Instructor:

Willow Blish was first introduced to Pilates in 1998 and has received certifications through both the PhysicalMind Institute and Power Pilates in New York City. She is also a certified strength trainer (AFAA & NASM), spinning instructor (Johnny G) and yoga teacher, and completed a Nutrition Consultant program through the National Institute of Whole health – all necessary, in her mind, to understand her client’s fitness from a holistic standpoint. Willow brings to her work an interest in the ways in which bodies function during day-to-day movements and how she can help them perform more efficiently, more effectively & more powerfully.
