28th Amendment National Roadshow

Inaction on climate change. Unfair taxation and income inequality. Government shutdowns. Immigrant detention.

What do all these issues have in common? A common root: the influence of money on politics.

On Thursday April 24, Common Cause of Berkeley and Goldman School of Public Policy will be hosting a forum, 28th Amendment National Roadshow, exploring recent developments, including the McCutcheon v. FEC ruling, that have opened the floodgates to money in our political system and what we can do, including amending the constitution, to build a truly equitable democracy.

The evening will feature great speakers including Jeff Clements, author of Corporations Are Not People, Paul Pierson, author of Winner Takes All Politics, and Mayor Gayle McLaughlin of Richmond.

We'll also hear about some exciting initiatives here in California including SB 1272 and AJR 1.

We hope you can join us and help spread the word.

Together we can make a difference.
