Here are just a few highlights of this weekend's activities. Grab it and go!

Satsuki Bazaar and Arts Festival

  • Where/When: , May 21, 3:00pm–9:00pm, and May 22, 12:00pm–7:00pm
  • Why Go: The Satsuki Bazaar and Arts Festival includes internationally renowned taiko master Kenny Endo, Hiroshima jazz group greats June Kuramoto and Kimo Cornwell, Miyagi Ryu Okinawan Dance with Dr. Wesley Ueunten, a variety of Japanese and Hawaiian food, Japanese arts and crafts, a silent auction and carnival games.

Architectural Tour of Julia Morgan’s ‘Little Castle’
  • Where/When: ; May 22, 1:00pm–4:00pm
  • Why Go: The Berkeley City Club offers free docent tours of pioneering architect Julie Morgan’s Mediterranean/Gothic “little castle.” In 1929, Julia Morgan designed the Berkeley Women’s City Club, the collective vision of its 4000 female members: Lush gardens and courtyards provided sanctuary.

Saturday Night Stargazing at Lawrence Hall of Science Plaza
  • Where/When: ; May 21, 9:00pm–11:00pm
  • Why go: Come and look at the stars with your family and friends in front of the Lawrence Hall of Science! Weather permitting, stargazers can look through telescopes, ask questions and get answers, and learn how to find constellations looking at a star-map. Sometimes the weather can get very cold, so be sure to dress warmly.

Faunal Guide Launch Celebration
  • Where/When: ; May 20, 10:00am–3:00pm
  • Why Go: Come celebrate the arrival of this highly anticipated field guide. View the original art created for the guide. Visit with experts from the Lindsay Wildlife Museum and see their live animals, mounts and specimens on display at the Garden. And at 2 p.m. listen to remarks from Tribune Columnist Gary Bogue & Garden Director Paul Licht.

Spring Garden Work Party
  • Where/When: ; May 21, 2:00pm–4:00pm
  • Why Go: Kids can enjoy an afternoon of gardening, preparing the garden for the upcoming summer. They will plant seeds, harvest the winter’s bounty and dream of the coming tomatoes. Dress to dig in the dirt.
  • Price: Free
4th Annual Kids Triathlon
  • Where/When: ; May 21, 8:00am
  • Why Go: The 4th Annual Kids Triathlon celebrates youth health and fitness with a swim-bike-run event, to be held at King Pool, surrounding park and middle school.
  • Price: $35; free to watch
