Storms Headed Our Way, Five Days Of Rain in the Forecast

Berkeley residents can get sandbags from the city's corporation yard with proof of residency.

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

A series of storms is expected to hit the Bay Area this week.

Rain is forecasted to start early Wednesday with at least showers every day through Sunday.

Breezy conditions are also expected on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night.

High temperatures are expected to reach only the high 50s.

The storms might also dampen some of the holiday activities planned around Berkeley and make holiday shopping a little more challenging. Several outdoor events are scheduled during the rainy days.

Berkeley residents can get up to 10 pre-filled sandbags from the city's corporation yard. Residents must bring either a utility bill or lease agreement to show proof of residency in order to receive the bags. The corporation yard is located at 1326 Allston Way. It's open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
