Free Trade-In of Your Old Holiday Lights for LEDs

Berkeley's Rising Sun Energy Center is offering free energy-saving LED Christmas tree lights in exchange for your old incandescent light strands.

Now that Halloween is past, Berkeley's Rising Sun Energy Center is getting an early start on the holiday season with a "Free Holiday/Christmas Light Swap."

Just bring in your old incandescent strand of lights on Nov. 18 between 1-4 p.m. to 2530 San Pablo Ave. in Berkeley to receive new, energy-efficient LED lights for free, says the center.

Both color and clear lights will be available. Your old lights will be recycled with proceeds going to cancer research, the center says.
