After acting unseasonably reclusive of late, the sun is getting ready to return to the East Bay.
The National Weather Service foresees the return of dry weather later this week.
The skies will be partly cloudy tonight, and then we'll have mostly sunny days Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, according to the official weather prognosticators.
The temperature will peak around 60 today and in the mid-60s Tuesday through Thursday, the weather service said.
The blue skies will follow a spell of unusually wet weather for early June.
From 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, the weather service reported .71 inches of rain fell on Mount Diablo.
The service's automatic gauges also recorded .39 inches in the Dublin/San Ramon area.
Livermore airport recorded .25 inches while Castro Valley saw .16 inches.
The Oakland Airport gauge reported .10 inches.
