Pedalfest Rolls Saturday

Here at the East Bay Bicycle Coalition we can hardly wait to welcome you and your friends to the second annual PedalFest at Jack London Square in Oakland this Saturday, Aug. 18.  

We have been planning for months with our great partners Jack London Square and Bay Area Bikes to make your experience super-fun.  We have recruited over a hundred volunteers to make sure everything from valet-bike parking to the New Belgium Beer Gardens runs smoothly. Come this Saturday, Oakland’s waterfront treasure, filled with bikes, awaits for a great bike festival and celebration.  Now we just need you to come out and enjoy all the amazing bikes, rides, contests, demos and stunts, beer and food that we have lined up.

Packed with entertainment and activites, Pedalfest kicks off with Red Tricycle childrens' bike parade; followed by lots of kids' activities throughout the day including our Pedal Jeopardy Quiz Show, a Kids Bike Rodeo and lots more.

The Whiskeydrome is back, as are crowd-pleasers Chris Clark with Giant Bicycles and the Clayton BMX Stunt Team. Flyaway Productions brings us dance on a bike on a rope and Berkeley’s own Rock the Bike will be rockin' the bike event with their pedal-powered sound stage. Oh ... and you can also make ice cream with them, but ya gotta pedal!

WHAT: PedalFest, an all-ages, family-friendly bicycle festival, co-presented by the East Bay Bicycle Coalition, Bay Area Bikes, and Jack London Square.
