The space where Black Oak Books lived for 26 years has been vacant since they moved out in 2009. We’d like to get your suggestions on what you would like to see fill this vacant space.
This space is at 1491 Shattuck Ave, towards the top of the Gourmet Ghetto, next to Saul’s and CVS. There’s a total of 5,600 sq. ft., but it can be divided into two smaller spaces. The broker’s website states this space could be used again for retail as well as “specialty food store, bakery, restaurant, gym, yoga, [and] exercise.” This is a nice, large space in a great area and its a shame to see it sit vacant for so long.
