The restaurant on Shattuck Avenue reportedly lost its lease

A bistro on Shattuck Avenue has shut its doors.

BEC's Bar & Bistro closed down a few weeks ago, according to a story in Berkeleyside.

The owners of the restaurant at 2271 Shattuck Ave. told Berkeleyside they lost their lease.

The 8,000-square-foot building now has a "for lease" sign on it, according to Berkeleyside.

BEC's had taken over the space in 2011 once occupied by Beckett's Irish Pub. The bistro featured a wide array of cocktails as well as appetizers, seafood, soups, salads, sliders and desserts.
