Pacific Gas & Electric is reported a major power outage in Oakland and in the Berkeley Hills Saturday.

The outage, reported just after 5 p.m., affects 10,950 customers, according to PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris.

The cause of the outage has not been confirmed, but multiple customers have called to report a collision involving a car striking a power pole, Morris said.
