Did you know Berkeley schools get three days off for the Thanksgiving holidays? How about when your school's Back to School Night is this year?

To help school families plan ahead, here are special days in the school calendar for the Berkeley Unified School District.

  • Sept. 12, Thursday – Elementary Back to School Night
  • Sept. 19, Thursday – Middle School Back to School Night
  • Sept. 26, Thursday – High School Back to School Night
  • Oct. 14, Monday – Staff development (no school for students)
  • Nov. 4-7, Monday-Thursday – Elementary parent-teacher conferences (shortened day)
  • Nov. 8, Friday – Elementary parent-teacher conferences and staff development day (no school for students)
  • Nov. 11, Monday – Veterans Day
  • Nov. 27-29, Wednesday-Friday – Thanksgiving holidays
  • Dec. 23-Jan. 3 – Winter recess
