'Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical' Opens April 13 in Berkeley

The show is recommended for all ages.

Kids and parents alike will love the antics in the Bay Area Children’s Theatre production of Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Musical, opening Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at Freight & Salvage, 2020 Addison St., Berkeley. 

Washing machines burst into life and clothes dance up a whirlwind when toddler Trixie and her beloved stuffed animal, Knuffle Bunny, go off to the laundromat with her somewhat distracted dad.

This lively stage adaptation of Mo Willems’ hilarious Caldecott Honor book, Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale, with script and lyrics by Mo Willems and music by Michael Silversher, plays weekends in Berkeley at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. through Sunday, May 5.

The show then moves to the Front Row Theater, 17011 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, where it will play Saturdays and Sundays, May 11 – 19, at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4:30 p.m.

Directed by M. Graham Smith, the show features spunky songs, puppets with personality, and a series of endearing misadventures, as Mom raises a seasoned eyebrow, and Dad learns it can be tricky to do the laundry with Trixie.  Recommended for all ages.
