Swap! Not Shop! is Homeygrown's Biannual Clothing Exchange. This event counteracts the disposable nature of consumerism by providing the time and place for shopping renegades to recycle clothes and other reusable items. Bring a bag of gently-used, clean items, and dig in other people's trash to find your newest treasure. Rethink that trip to the shop and instead, swap with us!
Here is what you can bring to Swap Not Shop:
-Men's, Women's and Children's clothes. NO socks or underwear
- Shoes and boots
- Accessories: jewelry, hand bags, scarfs, hats, belts, gloves, (new) body spray, etc.
- Entertainment: music, tapes, DVDs, VHS and records. Everything MUST be in working order
- Books
- Non-perishable food
- Household items: phones, blankets, clean pots & pans and anything else that is in working order and in good condition. NO bedsheets or towels
* PLEASE NO JUNK and NO CLOTHES WITH STAINS and/or HOLES (unless that is how it is designed). ONLY bring items that you feel others may want.
ALL ages and genders are welcome! Must be 21+ w/ ID to drink
