Sunday March 25, 2012:  "The Winter's Tale"

Clifford Schwartz, teacher and poetry lover, has been facilitating group Shakespeare readings since 1983.

This is an afternoon to be enjoyed by anyone yearning to “play” big, juicy, famous Shakespearean characters. Each participant will receive a new role assignment at the beginning of each new act, and both small and mid-sized parts will be available.

Those with all levels of familiarity with Shakespeare are welcome. Beginners will learn from the more knowledgeable participants. Everyone will have opportunities to rest and just listen. We will pause to discuss Shakespeare’s language as we go along. The pace of the reading will flow successfully throughout the afternoon as we hold a balance between discussion and digression.

Participants must RSVP, at which time they will be given the address and directions. [Actual location is at a private home in Berkeley] They should bring a copy of the day's play (any edition is OK) and a potluck dish to share. The groups are limited to 20 participants.

Check Cliff's blog for details and future workshops through 2012.
