Everyone knows Michelle Shocked for her superb songwriting, her commitment to her art, and her outspoken support of all things “underdog”.  On July 28, she will take her support very literally.  Michelle will headline a benefit concert for Hopalong Animal Rescue at Ashkenaz in Berkeley.  She will be joined by some very special guests, James Nash, Rich Armstrong, Martha Groves Perry and Jim Chayka. Opening will be Sweet Noodle and the Poor Boys, an Oakland based trio.

Hopalong Animal Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue and placement service.  They rescue cats and dogs surrendered or abandoned at local shelters.  Visit www.hopalong.org.
