Joey Sayers' "Stupid Dreams" Book Release Party

Book release party and reading event for Joey Alison Sayers’ new book, Stupid Dreams. Joey will give a multimedia comics reading (with comics projected for all to see!).

 Stupid Dreams is 165 pages of previously out-of-print comics, each drawn in five minutes or less.

 Joey’s strip Thingpart ran for nearly five years in such places as Portland Mercury, Washington City Paper, Albuquerque Alibi, Internazionale (where it was translated into Italian), as well as several other newspapers and magazines. She’s done “The Machine That Travels Through Time” for MAD Magazine since 2006, and published over 25 minicomics.

 Joey’s work will appear in the 2011 edition of Best American Comics, edited by Alison Bechdel.

Tessa Brunton, Kane Lynch and Sophie Yanow will also be reading at the event.
