Berkeley Rose Garden's 75th Anniversary Celebration

The City of Berkeley Parks and Recreation Department and The Berkeley Partners for Parks present a Celebration honoring the Berkeley Rose Garden's 75th Year of bringing Fragrance, Beauty, and Inspiration to People from All Over the World.

This Celebration/Fundraiser will feature a Re-Dedication Ceremony, Local Music, Dancers, Food, Kids Entertainment at Codornices Park, and an Expo Area featuring Exhibits by local Park's Friends, Community Activists, Supportive Businesses, Rose Societies, and Representatives from other Regional Gardens.

Rose Experts will be on hand to give you tips for growing Roses in the Bay Area.  Plans for a Silent Auction and a Raffle are being made.

Music will Feature The Albany Big Band  -Rich Kalman, Director, The Award Winning Berkeley High School Jazz Ensemble, and MJ's Brass Boppers Treme Style Band, and other special guests.

Dance will Feature the World Renown Ethnic Dance Performer, Shabnam, who will perform a Special Piece choreographed by her for this event.

The Recreation Department will be presenting an elaborate program for children of all ages at Codornices Park.   With Special Performers, Magic Shows, Face Painting, and much more.

Food will be provided from Several of the Many Goumet Food Trucks featured at many of the Farmer's Markets held locally.

Because These Parks are located in an area with Very Limited Parking.  People are encouraged to Walk, Bike ( there will be a gated Bike corral with a volunteer watching your bike(s) ), take public transportation ( the number 65 AC Transit Bus ), or drive to the North Berkeley Bart Station and ride the Free Shuttle Service to the Event.

Tax Deductable Donations to the Berkeley Partners for Parks will be gladly accepted at All the Entrances to the Parks to establish an Endowment Program to Rebuild and keep this Grand Garden in Fine Shape for Generations to come.
