An Evening with Wes Jackson

Join the David Brower Center in welcoming environmental scholar Wes Jackson as he discusses his recent book, Consulting the Genius of the Place: An Ecological Approach to a New Agriculture. Jackson is the president and founder of The Land Institute, an organization committed to developing the field of Natural Systems Agriculture, which focuses on the ecological stability of systems.

Recipient of the Pew Conservation Scholars Award and founder of the Environmental Studies department at California State University, Sacramento, Jackson’s career in sustainable agriculture has spanned over four decades and earned him the distinction of being named one of Smithsonian's “35 Who Made a Difference.”
