Billie Joe Armstrong Documentary to Screen in Berkeley

"Broadway Idiot" documents Armstrong's road to Broadway, where he appeared in the rock musical "Amerian Idiot."

"Broadway Idiot," a full-length documentary film that follows Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong on his path to Broadway in the rock musical American Idiot, will be shown one night only, May 4 at 8 p.m., in Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Roda Theatre, according to an article on playbill.com.

The film had its premiere March 15 at an Austin, TX film festival.

According to the Berkeley Rep website, doors will open at 7 p.m. for drinks, snacks and music in the courtyard before the screening. Reserved seating is $10-$20 per person. $20 tickets include VIP seating plus a free, limited-edition American Idiot commemorative photo book, Berkeley Rep says.
