Volunteers Build a New Path in the Hills

The Berkeley Path Wanderers Association bridge two parks

The stewards of the pedestrian pathways that lace the Berkeley Hills added a new link in the network Sunday.

The La Loma trail is 161 steps made from railroad ties connecting Selby Trail in Tilden Park to Glendale-La Loma Park. It’s the 140th such pathway in the hills and the 30th trail built by the Berkeley Path Wanderers Association, according to Bay Nature.

The BPWA has been restoring and promoting pathways since 1998. A great way to support the group and expand your knowledge of Berkeley at the same time is to buy the 6th edition of the BPWA Map of the Berkeley Paths. The newest version includes the city’s bicycle boulevards.

The name is weirdly spelled, but not this weird. It's Caffe, not Caffee. I've only typed these wordsRead More a thousand times.
