Power Outage on Corner of Bancroft and Telegraph

If you were planning to eat dinner at Chipotle on Telegraph Avenue tonight, you'll have to turn elsewhere — a small power outage is affecting the corner of Telegraph and Bancroft Way.

At least nine stores and restaurants are in the dark across from UC Berkeley's Sproul Plaza.

"The power went out at 3 or 3:30," said an American Apparel employee. "It's happened before."

In addition to , the power is also out at The San Francisco Soup Company, , Yogurtland, , , and American Apparel's men's store. All of the stores are on the south-east side of the corner, and the outage has not impacted the whole block.

An employee at another affected shop said the power sometimes goes out there when it rains. They did not know when the power would return.
