Pet of the Week: Kamri

Kamri is a beautiful, fluffy cat that was abandoned and found at a restaurant parking lot. She has been at the Berkeley Animal Shelter since March and is looking for a new home.

Kamri is a beautiful female cat that seems timid at first but is friendly and affectionate when approached. She loves a good brushing of her fluffy long hair and enjoys being petted and scratched. She is 10 years old and has been at the Berkeley Animal Shelter since March. She is spayed and would thrive in a quiet household and would get along with other pets. She is an absolutely gentle creature!

The Berkeley Animal Shelter houses stray or abandoned domestic animals from Berkeley, Albany, Emeryville, and Piedmont and provides adoption services to find them a new home. Anyone can adopt a pet. Here's how!

1. Bring a valid form of identification
2. Bring proof that your home can house a pet (either a lease agreement allowing pets or proof of home ownership)
3. Bring the application fee ($125 for dogs, $100 for cats, $25 for rabbits, birds, and exotics, and $10 for rodents)
4. Fill out an application at the shelter!

The Animal Shelter at the City of Berkeley is located on 1 Bolivar Drive and is open seven days a week (Mon-Sat: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wed: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sun: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
