Saint Mary's Teacher a National AP Reader

Saint Mary's High is honored to have one of its own as a 2014 Advanced Placement Program Reader.  Ms. Kate Long, History teacher and mom of an incoming freshman, spent seven very full days in Salt Lake City, Utah in mid-June reading over 1,000 AP World History exams in sessions that ran daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Over one thousand readers were on hand to review 240,000 exams during what Ms. Long describes as an impressive and well-coordinated effort by numerous "geeky, nerdy, History [and other subjects]-loving teachers, every one of whom was pulling for the kids!"  Exams were given in 29 subjects this year, from Studio Art to Macroeconomics to Chinese Language and Culture, and readers reviewed the exams in Utah, Cincinnati, Kansas City, and Louisville.
