Saint Mary's National Merit Semi-Finalist Named

Saint Mary's High Senior Max Goldstein has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist.  Max is among 16,000 semi-finalists from U.S. high schools, and one of nine from Lasallian (De La Salle Christian Brothers') schools in California.  Max is the son of Tom and Leslie Goldstein of El Cerrito, and plays Panther baseball.  Tom Goldstein is a professor of Journalism and Mass Communications and director of the Mass Communications Program at Berkeley, and Leslie is a Contracts and Grants Manager at Cal.
