Congratulations to the Saint Mary's High Panthers girls' varsity team and coaches on their 2014 NCS basketball championship.  It is the girls' fifth title in six years, after a 65-57 win over Salesian last Saturday for the Division IV title. The O'Dowd boys and Saint Mary's girls received No. 1 seeds for the CIF Open Division basketball playoffs when brackets for all divisions were announced Sunday. Saint Mary's will host Sacramento at home on Friday, March 14, and depending on the outcome of that game and Salesian's game against St. Ignatius, will play a fifth game for this season against Salesian in the second round of the Open Division playoffs.

Teammates Mikaya Cowling and Gabby Green were named to the McDonald's All-American Team that will play in Chicago in April. Both student-athletes will attend Cal in the Fall.

Go Panthers!
