Help families in need: donations sought for Eastmont Garden of Hope

The Alameda County Social Services Agency's Eastmont Garden of Hope urgently seeks donations of new or gently used clothing and shoes, linens, and toys, as well as diapers and non-perishable food, that are delivered ready for distribution. For the winter season, coats, socks, blankets, and gloves are particularly needed. As many as 400 households are referred each month due to immediate need. Please help ensure that nobody is turned away. Donations may be brought to 6955 Foothill Blvd, Oakland between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. A drop-off site is located at the entrance of the parking garage. For more information, contact Ms. Coleman at (510) 383-5361.
