Camp Jam – The nation's largest and most popular provider of rock and roll summer camps and year-round, educational rock and roll music programs for kids and adults – will offer free registration to local children who were enrolled in the newly defunct Day Jams camp in the San Francisco Bay area.
Camp Jam offers two sessions at Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga, Calif. July 22-Aug. 4, with special instruction from Michael Jackson’s legendary guitarist Jennifer Batten and Carl Verheyen, best known for his work with Supertramp for whom he played guitar, percussion and backing vocals.
Camp Jam is the premier music camp for teenage musicians, offering a variety of high-energy, exciting, professional learning experiences. Aspiring guitar players, bass players, keyboard players, drummers and vocalists will get to unleash their inner rock star under the guidance of local musicians, music teachers and guest instructors with special appearances by celebrity musicians, in addition to playing on the big stage with the top music gear.
Camp Jam was founded by Jeff Carlisi, lead guitarist for .38 Special, and Dan Lipson, entrepreneur and guitarist for Vintage Red. Artists featured at Camp Jam sessions include musicians who have performed with Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Guns & Roses, Sheryl Crow, Survivor, The Fray, Rod Stewart, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The All-American Rejects, Don Henley, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and many others.
