Sally Joan Baker produces and hosts this long-running weekly TV show that improve children's literacy skills through creating and interpreting poetry in a multimedia environment. More than 32,000 kids have appeared since the show's creation in 1984.
Each show has at least one featured child poet, plus an adult guest sponsor. Substantial community support has kept this Berkeley institution going; it's now aired by Comcast throughout the East Bay.
Watch on Comcast Channel 26 on Tuesdays at 6:30pm, and on BCM Channel 28 throughout the week.
Both kids and adults are sought to be on the show, and young people are also sought to volunteer as camera operators and technicians.
