More About Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse
Yes, that's right, this coffee house and music venue is a nonprofit devoted to the preservation of traditional music. It's an all-ages, alcohol-free venue with discounts for youth under 18 and seniors. Founded in 1968, the Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse continues to reflect an appreciation for the values of tolerance and freedom that characterized that time in Berkeley, and it features local artists whose music reflects that aesthetic. It also offers classes and workshops and a summer day camp for kids interested in learning the fiddle.
