Facebook Page Attempts to Solve UC Berkeley Hook-Up Mysteries

"UC Berkeley Hook-Ups" anonymously posts pleas from people looking to find their drunken sexual encounters on or near campus.

A Facebook page aimed at helping UC Berkeley students reconnect with those who they have drunkenly hooked up with is growing in popularity.

"UC Berkeley Hook-Ups" launched on Feb. 19 and has already gained more than 2,300 followers.

Every post is completley anonymous — users submit their hook-ups through an online forum and the Facebook page moderator posts them.

"If you recognize you or your story post message me with your number," according to the about section of the page. "We will keep everything anonymous until we find a match."

However, page visitors can respond to confessions by commenting on the post. Often, students tag suspected friends in the comments of the post, where their full names are revealed and linked back to their profile pages.

Aside from the hook-up posts, there are also confessions, much like ones made in a similar Facebook page started in January called "UC Berkeley Confessions."
