Do You Think Berkeley Schools Are Safe?

Schools are required to maintain a current safety plan, but as the tragedy in Connecticut illustrated plans can't stop every disaster.

The massacre Friday morning at an elementary school in Connecticut that left 27 people dead, including 18 children, raises for every parent thoughts of the unthinkable. 

Schools in Berkeley are required to have school safety plans that are reviewed each year by March 1. The plans deal with everything from earthquakes to intruders.
