Berkeley High School Safety Officer Arrested for Identity Theft

High school official arrested for identify theft.

A Berkeley High School security officer was arrested for identity theft last week, said the Berkeley Police Department. William Arthur Keys Jr. of Oakland was arrested at the high school on Wednesday, Feb. 22. The arrest was the culmination of a two-month investigation. Police say they secured warrants and that probable cause existed to arrest Keys.  

Identity theft is a felony, with a bail of $10,000. There is a possibility that the investigation may be ongoing, thus this is all the information City of Berkeley Police Department is sharing currently.”
