More than 300 people attended the special Saturday centennial service at the Berkeley Buddhist Temple. An adjacent social hall was filled to capacity.

More than 300 people -- including Buddhist Churches of America officials, past ministers of the Berkeley Buddhist Temple, Bay Area Buddhist ministers, as well as former and current temple members -- attended a special ceremony Saturday to celebrate the temple's centennial. The celebration continued with a banquet at the Oakland Marriott City Center.
