The world of Harry Potter spans seven books, eight movies and more than 60 languages. That's a lot of lore for Berkeley Potter-heads to catch up on before the big release Friday. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two hits screens July 15. Midnight screenings Thursday night at Berkeley's UA 7 Cinema are ... unless you can handle the added 3 a.m. show.

At the emotional movie premier in London, J.K. Rowling joked that the outpouring of support was enough to make her want to write another book. Until that magical day, the writer — who is richer than the Queen — still has hundreds of pages to share through her new online venture, Pottermore. This "online reading experience," as Rowling explains in the tease video, will be an interactive world where fans can read the additional information Rowling says she has been "hoarding for years about the world of Harry Potter." Pottermore will also settle any debate as to which Hogwarts House fans are in, since Rowling will be sorting them herself after developing a "vast pool of questions."

But before fans get bombarded by bonus material, they must first catch up on the thousands of pages and hours of movies already at hand.

But Berkeley is a studious city and knows how to prep. If you try to find the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, or the movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One at any of the Berkeley libraries, you'll find empty shelves. How about the audio book? Checked out or on hold too. Looking for a Butterbeer recipe? Even the Unofficial Harry Potter Cookbook is checked out.

So where did we leave off? In Deathly Hallows Part One, Harry, Ron and Hermione had ditched school and were running around barren woodlands arguing. What else happened?
